Crawler bulldozers are generally used to build lawns on wasteland. Crawler bulldozers are mainly composed of engines, transmission systems, braking systems, travel systems, hydraulic systems, cabs, and operating devices.
(1) Engine
Crawler bulldozers all use four-stroke diesel engines, generally 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder engines, such as 4105, 6112, 6114, 6121, 6135, 855, etc.
(2) Transmission system
The transmission system of crawler bulldozers uses hydraulic mechanical transmission. The function of the transmission system is to transmit the driving force of the power unit to the driving wheel of the bulldozer, and change the transmission ratio and torque and power transmission direction between the power unit and the driving wheel to ensure that the bulldozer has sufficient traction and a suitable working speed when working.
(3) Travel system
The travel system is one of the important components of crawler bulldozers. Its main function is to convert the driving torque and rotational motion transmitted by the engine to the driving wheel into the driving force and forward and backward motion required for the work and travel of the engineering machinery to perform the walking function, and support the weight of the entire machine.
The crawler bulldozer travel system mainly consists of crawler tracks, driving wheels, supporting rollers, supporting rollers, guide wheels, crawler track tensioning devices, suspension springs and buffer springs, as shown in Figure 2-18. The upper mass of the crawler bulldozer is transmitted to the trolley frame through the frame, and acts on the ground through the supporting rollers and crawler tracks. The driving torque transmitted to the driving wheel by the engine and transmission system is converted into driving force through the crawler travel system to drive the bulldozer to run. The above-mentioned crawler tracks and the driving wheels, guide wheels, supporting rollers and supporting rollers around them are collectively referred to as "four wheels and one belt". They are important components shared by various crawler engineering machinery, which directly affect the working performance and travel performance of the bulldozer.
(4) Braking system
The brake actuator mechanism adopts pneumatic type, which is mainly composed of air compressor, gas control valve, foot brake valve, air reservoir, two-way check valve, quick air release valve, manual air switch, brake cylinder and air pressure gauge. When braking, the brake pedal can be stepped on, and the brake lever rotates the brake arm, driving the double-arm lever to swing. The movable end of the brake belt is tightened by the claw or the lever, and the brake is in the braking state.
(5) Hydraulic system
The function of the hydraulic system of a crawler bulldozer is to provide hydraulic oil to the hydraulic torque converter; to provide hydraulic oil to the shift clutch in the power shift transmission; to provide hydraulic oil to the steering clutch; to provide hydraulic oil to the brake cylinder; to provide hydraulic oil to the bulldozer; to provide hydraulic oil to the tiller.
A complete and normally working hydraulic system generally consists of several parts such as power elements, actuators, control elements, hydraulic auxiliary elements, and working media.
(6) Working device
The working device of a bulldozer is mainly a bulldozer. The rear of the bulldozer can also be equipped with auxiliary working devices, such as tillers (three-tooth tillers, single-tooth tillers), winches (mechanical winches, hydraulic winches), and tractor shoveling.
① Bulldozer. Bulldozers are available in two types: fixed and rotary. Bulldozers with fixed blades are called straight or front-end bulldozers. The bulldozer consists of a bulldozer blade, a push beam, a vertical diagonal brace, a horizontal brace, and a cylinder, as shown in Figure 2-19. The lower part of the bulldozer blade is a replaceable blade, and the upper part is arc-shaped so that the cut soil flows forward automatically. The rear of the bulldozer blade is hinged to the push beam and the diagonal brace. The push beam is hinged to the crawler frame of the bulldozer through a hinge, and the up and down movement of the entire blade frame is controlled by two cylinders.
